Summary /Objective
The Bus Driver position will primarily consist of operating gas, diesel, electric, propane or CNG buses while observing state and city speed and safety regulations, as well as company customer service and safety policies.
Essential Function

Deliver bus to scheduled destination.

Observe any visual defects and checks operating systems before and after all deliveries.

Report emergency or imminent safety conditions to dispatcher.

Report accidents immediately to dispatcher and complete company accident report.

Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.

Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition.

Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.

Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

Conform to all safety rules and use of appropriate safety equipment.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position is performed in outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time on call position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Education and Experience

Current Commercial driver’s license (Class B)

Current Medical certificate
-
2 or more year(s) of driving experience
Preferred Education and Experience
-
High school diploma or GED.
